Program

Salta art editorial is the publishing initiative of Salta art, dedicated to amplifying artistic and curatorial voices and fostering dialogue between South America and Europe. Through books and publications, it creates spaces for exchange and the circulation of ideas. Its first series, Encounters, brings together artists and curators in bilingual English–Spanish editions, giving new life to existing conversations and opening possibilities for future collaborations.

The first volume of Encounters, Wallow Around and Live! Marta Minujín, Media and Public Space, brings together Marta Minujín and Andrea Lissoni. Drawing on his longstanding engagement with the artist's practice, Lissoni explores her pioneering relationship with media, technology, and public space, tracing how her work anticipated contemporary questions of participation, collective experience, and the role of art in society.

The second volume of Encounters, The Horizon Is My Only Reference, brings together Chilean artist Sandra Vásquez de la Horra and curator Jana Baumann in an intimate conversation exploring the artist's practice, Indigenous knowledge, spirituality, and her relationship with nature. Emerging from the exhibition Soy Energía at Haus der Kunst Munich (2025–2026), their dialogue moves between personal memories, cultural influences, and artistic reflections.

The third volume of Encounters, Entering the Water, brings together artist Tomás Saraceno and curator Sarah Johanna Theurer in a conversation developed during the preparation of Ancestral Futures at Haus der Kunst Munich (2026). Centered on El Santuario del Agua, their exchange explores water, lithium extraction, Indigenous knowledge, and the possibilities of art as a collective practice of ecological care and responsibility.
