Salta art is an independent, non-profit arts organization based in Munich that fosters the dialogue between South America and Germany. Through residencies, publications, research, and public programs—including talks, workshops, performances, and exhibitions—Salta art brings together artists, curators, writers, cultural producers, and art enthusiasts. In doing so, Salta art aims to create opportunities for collaboration and to develop mutual understanding.

To achieve its mission, Salta art collaborates with cultural institutions and collectives. For its residency program in Munich, Salta art collaborates with the City of Munich Department of Arts and Culture and ERA Foundation. For its residency program in São Paulo and Salvador da Bahia, Brazil, Salta art collaborates with Pivô. Salta art raises additional funds to support shared activities and major international projects.
